anomie (MFA Thesis)

Thesis exhibition, May 2017. A 40×20 foot room is filled with water. A steel catwalk and pier offers the viewer a chance to explore the landscape and approach at a distance the timepiece in the center. The timepiece rotates one position on the concrete wheel per hour while a constant, slow drip fills each shot glass with thirty weight motor oil, each glass receiving less and less oil as the head pressure in the oil pan diminished.

Steel, 2600 gallons of water, maple, concrete, stepper motor, driver, chain, oil pan from 2001 Ford Escape, 10w40 motor oil, brass, shot glasses
